At the beginning of August, another incredible Southern Living Idea House opened for visitors. The project was brought to life by an elite team of Architects, Builders, and Designers, including oomph favorite, Charlotte Lucas Interiors. As in years past, we once again have had the privilege to provide custom furniture the Southern Living Idea House, under the guidance of Charlotte and her design team.
This week, Southern Living Magazine hit newsstands featuring the home, and we are thrilled to share the images of the house we participated in.
Like mother, like daughter, Charlotte's love for interior design started at an early age, taking notes from her designer mother. Bold colors and patterns were part of the early education and traits that have become synonymous with the Charlotte's work (the SL Idea House being no exception)
In 2012, Charlotte Lucas started her own firm based out of North Carolina. This focus on color and detail in her interiors has developed into a signature, recognizable style.
She loves to go on buying trips for antiques and one-of-a-kind objects, as she is always mindful that minor details can create major impact. Inspiration from far flung locations - everything from unique art and furniture to untraditional color palettes has become part of this "signature" style.
For the Southern Living Idea House, Charlotte chose pieces from both our upholstery and case good lines. Custom Vanities and mirrors were finished in house with great hand-painted details, Beds were lavishly upholstered with miles of Charlotte's favorite ginghams, and additional pieces were painted in bold hues to match the home's eclectic vibe.
